However, sometimes there are lasting and long term consequences to a wrist fracture. These can include:
— arthritis
— stiffness or numbness
— deformity of the arm bones
— weakened grip
— chronic pain
— swelling of the fingers and hands
— weakness which does not resolve
Any new or worsening symptoms following recovery from a wrist fracture should promptly be reported to your physician.
